Hammers undetered by injury blow

The loss of a third Hammer to season ending injury has failed to deter the Lakeside Hammers in their forthcoming bid for Play Off glory.  Recent arrival Tomasz Jedrzejak hasn’t even turned a wheel yet for the Essex club, but sustained an ankle injury racing racing in Sweden last night which will curtail his year.  The club will now revert to rider replacement for his polish compatriot Piotr swiderski who along with Aussie Adam Shields is also out of action long term.

Hammers Promoter Jon Cook commented “We are obviously well used to injury blows but in this case we are still in the same situation we have been in for weeks now and actually extra rides for the boys will probably be stronger in the home leg,  as TJ was bound to need a ride or two to settle in and that would have been tough in such a pressured environment. We are undetered and ready for action.”

Full team line ups and riding orders for the Play-Off semi final against the Eastbourne Eagles, which takes place at the Raceway next Monday the 19th of September at 7.30pm,  will be announced on Friday.  Fans are reminded that normal admission rates apply and that Hammers season tickets are valid for the complete play off and Ko Cup programme including the finals should the club reach one or both.
