Hammers Captain moves to No. 1. 9.45am Meeting update

9.45am update:

Tonight’s meeting with Poole is ON. The latest forecast is for showers to die away as the afternoon progresses.
Updates will be made only if that situation changes.

The Poole team shows three changes from the original line up, but the Pirates do include Darcy Ward. The Hammers are at full strength.

Hammers Captain moves to No. 1

The Vortex Hammers Team Manager Neil Vatcher has changed the team’s riding order for Saturday night’s big clash at the Raceway against the 2013 League Champions, the Poole Pirates.

Captain Davey Watt will move to the prestigious No.1 position with Peter Karlsson switching to No.3 as the team aims to return to winning ways.

Vatcher explained: “Since Mikkel Bech’s average forced a change of pairings we haven’t looked in tune on track with our partnerships and by moving PK & Watty around we hope we find a bit more harmony”.

The teams for Saturday’s meeting, which starts with the first race at 7.45pm are:

The Vortex Lakeside Hammers: Davey Watt (Australia), Richard Lawson (Great Britain), Mikkel Bech (Denmark), Lewis Bridger (Great Britain), Peter Karlsson (Sweden), Ben Morley (Great Britain), Adam Ellis (Great Britain).

Poole Pirates: Josh Grajczonek (Australia), Maciej Janowski (Poland), Steve Boxall (Great Britain), Kalle Katajisto (Finland), Darcy Ward (Australia), Jack Kingston (Great Britain) , Kyle Newman (Great Britain)
