Action packed August!

 

The Lakeside Hammers have now arranged their remaining home Elite League fixtures for this season. It will see them now stage League matches at their Arena Essex Raceway every Friday throughout August.

The action starts this Friday, 20th July, with the visit of the Wolverhampton Wolves, but please note that there will be no meeting the following Friday, 27th July, as that is the date of the Opening Ceremony for the 2012 Olympic Games and the Club does not wish to compete against this major World event.

August starts with the visit of the world famous Belle Vue Aces on Friday 3rd August, and the following week an additional fixture has been brought in. Following the postponement of the Birmingham Brummies earlier this month they have now been rescheduled to come back to the Raceway on Friday 10th August.

Friday 17th August sees local rivals, the Eastbourne Eagles, at the Raceway and that will be followed on 24th August with the visit of the Peterborough Panthers. August’s home matches are completed when current League leaders, the Poole Pirates, come to the Arena Essex Raceway on Friday 31st August.

The Hammers will be running their successful Kids for a Quid promotion throughout the summer, starting this Friday with the visit of Wolverhampton, and continuing throughout August.

The Elite League action continues into Spetember when the final Elite League home match before the Play Offs will be staged on Monday 10th September when the Coventry Bees visit.

In addition there is an important date for the diaries of all Speedway supporters and that is Friday 28th September when the Club will be staging the Lee Richardson Memorial Meeting.
