Both Bank Holiday fixtures are off

Both of the Hammers fixtures scheduled for Bank Holiday Monday have been called off due to the wet weather.

The Vortex Hammers Elite League side were scheduled to race an important meeting at Swindon this evening against the Robins, which was likely to have a big say in who will ultimately gain a place in the Play Offs come the end of the season. This fixture has now been rearranged for 7.30pm on Thursday 4th September at theirAbbey Stadium.

A Hammers junior side were also due to be in action in a Challenge match away at 3pm against the Kent Kings at their Sittingbourne track but this has also been called off due to the weather.

The next home action for the Vortex Hammers at the Arena Essex Raceway will be on Monday 1st September when they meet the current Elite League Champions, the Poole Pirates.
