End of Season Event – update

UPDATE: Thursday 19th October:  Tickets for the event have now sold out – It is still possible to add names to a waiting list should any tickets be returned.

Thank you for your support.

Co-Promoter Jon Cook has confirmed that the Hammers will hold their end of season event in the Raceway Tavern on Friday 27th October from 7.30pm.

Cook commented “ We’ve had a slight delay whilst we were able to finalise the date, but we wanted to use the night to say a big thank you, in person, to our riders, ours sponsors, all of our track staff and everyone who is involved behind the scenes helping to make speedway happen at the Raceway, and most of all to our fans who have come along and supported the boys at The Raceway this season.”

Although we ultimately fell short in our Play Off against Belle Vue, who have been especially dominant at their track throughout the season, it’s been an enjoyable season in the National League, with some great racing at times and a fantastic team spirit.

All of the boys have been a complete pleasure to work with, and it’s been great to watch the likes of Alfie and Zach develop through the season”

Tickets for the event, which is free of charge and includes a finger buffet, will be limited due to capacity of the Tavern, and can be ordered by clicking here

No paper tickets will be issued, but names will be collated for the door.  A licensed bar will be available on the night.

The Hammer of the Year will be announced during the course of the evening and as Kelvin (Tatum) will be on his way to the Melbourne GP, Jon Cook will deliver his report on the 2017 NL season and provide updates on the club’s plans for 2018.  The evening will also feature rider interviews and a raffle.

The club would like to thank members of the Hammers Social Committee for organising the event and M. Shuttlewood Ltd. for their support.
