They’re back! The Lakeside Hammers Community Programme is delighted to announce that, for the fourth year in a row, Wickford based Ruggles & Jeffery Ltd are the Lakeside Hammers principal Community partners. Thanks to the company’s magnificent support, the Hammers will offer ‘Kids for a Quid’ admission to EVERY home fixture in 2014.  For further information on R&J please click on the logo below

Lakeside Hammers (2014) Supporters Club

As announced by Jon Cook at last November’s Fans Forum, the Hammers are planning to constitute a brand new Supporters Club ahead of the 2014 season. We are delighted to announce that a group of fans have already expressed their interest in developing this new venture and these supporters will be meeting with Hammers’ Community Manager Mark Sexton at the Park Inn Hotel (N. Stifford, Essex) this Friday (17th January 2014, 7.30pm) to start the process of establishing the new club.  Anybody who is interested in helping the supporters club get off the ground and who wishes to attend this Friday’s meeting should, please, contact Mark Sexton via e-mail: marksexton@lakesidehammers.com to register their interest.

Charity

The Lakeside Hammers Community Programme will be making an exciting formal announcement about our charitable programme in the next few weeks.  Eagle-eyed visitors to the website may have spotted that the name of this year’s new primary beneficiary has been already been released but we will issue a complete statement confirming the partnership in the near future.

Education

For the fourth year in a row, The Lakeside Hammers Community Programme is deeply involved in supporting Thurrock Council’s flagship educational and enterprise project called ‘Thurrock’s Next Top Boss. More than a dozen of Thurrock’s major companies work ‘hand in glove’ with students from across the borough’s schools and colleges on ‘Next Top Boss’  and this year, the Hammers are delighted to be partnered up with students and staff at the Pupil Support Service in South Ockendon.

The young people involved in Next Top Boss are all hard at work finding solutions to real world business problems and the Hammers are looking forward to seeing how the students at the PSS cope with the topical challenge we have set them. All successful graduates of Thurrock’s Next Top Boss will be presented with a ‘free entry’ voucher to a Hammers meeting in 2014 at the project’s Celebration event in March

Enjoyment

Mascots

Once again, the Community Programme will co-ordinate the Hammers’ Mascot experience and we hope that we can provide a never to be forgotten night at each home meeting this season. For full details of how to make your Hammers fan dreams come true click here

Club Nights

Originally designed to help formally constituted clubs and societies attend meetings at the Raceway, we now offer discounted rates of admission to any type of group of just 12 or more people. Prices for adult groups are available here. Prices for visits by youth groups and associations are available on request.
