Good Friday Fever builds

The countdown to the Vortex Hammers Good Friday showdown with the Eastbourne Eagles is underway with the teams clashing at the Arena Essex Raceway at 1pm.

The Hammers will include Mikkel Bech in the home meeting but he flies home to Denmark after the meeting, missing the return in Sussex as he prepares for his Danish qualifier the next day.

Before that all eyes are on Wolverhampton’s Monmore Green stadium for the British Under 21 Final where the Club have three representatives led by Adam Ellis and joined by local lads Jack Kingston and Marc Owen.

The Vortex Hammers Co Promoter,Jon Cook commented: “We are already looking forward to Good Friday. It’s a real highlight of the season and with a great forecast it’s going to be a meeting to savour. In the meantime we are looking forward to seeing how the youngsters go on Tuesday”.

Cook confirmed he would be travelling to the Sport’s HQ on Tuesday to formally make the Club’s complaint with regards to Ellis’ match changing forced withdrawal from their Saturday visit to Leicester.
