Hammers doing it for the Community..

As final preparations are undertaken for the launch of the 2012 Elite League Season, the Lakeside Hammers are delighted to announce the continuation of their charity partnership with the Essex Air Ambulance, as part of the Hammers Community Programme.

Now in its third year, The Community Programme, supported by Essex based building contractor Ruggles & Jeffery, provides engagement with and support for a wide variety of local organisations and projects, through the focus on five key themes; Charity, Education, Inclusion, Enjoyment and Sport.

Nina Benscher, Fund Raising Manager of the Essex Air Ambulance commented, “It is absolutely fantastic to have the continued support of Lakeside Hammers. Essex Air Ambulance have to raise £250,000 a month purely from public donations to keep saving lives in Essex and without the support of local business and clubs such as Lakeside Hammers, we wouldn’t be able to raise those vital funds. “

The Hammers Community Manager, Mark Sexton added

“It’s brilliant news that we’re continuing our involvement with the Essex Air Ambulance as our Charity of the year in 2012. The main aim of the Community programme is to provide support where we can across the local community and this is a perfect example of helping to raise both the profile of and funds for this iconic, life-saving, local charity”

Full details about the Essex Air Ambulance can be found on the Community section of the Hammers website, which also contains information on the successful Club mascot scheme and the special Hammers Club Nights package, which offers local groups, clubs and associations the chance to watch The Hammers and promote their organisations at discount prices.
