Hammers National League delight

Team manager Neil Vatcher expressed his delight as a young Hammers team rode to 45-48 point victory at the Kent Kings last night. After watching the team win the Tunnel Trophy, he commented “I was really impressed with the efforts and spirits of all the lads and hopefully I can work with many of them over a full season in 2015”.

Vortex Hammers co promoter Jon Cook, who was also present, added “firstly credit to both teams for a fantastic meeting of great entertainment.

The National League level has improved beyond recognition in the last few seasons since our joint Hackney venture. I’m sure Hammers fans present would have be delighted with the performances of Marc Owen & Jack Kingston, and like Neil I felt the other five lads showed real pride in pulling on our race jacket.  My feeling this morning is this is a league we must be in next season and we’ll be talking to our landlords and sponsors over the next fortnight to make it happen.”
