Hammers old boys return

The Vortex Hammers turn to three old boys to help fire them to victory against the Belle Vue Aces at the Arena Essex Raceway this Friday 10th July.

Former Captain Davey Watt and ‘Southend Sensation’ Ben Morley remain in the side that beat Leicester in the Hammers last home match and are joined by popular Pole Piotr Swiderski.

Watt and Morley cover for the Hammers injured duo of Kim Nilsson and Ashley Birks whilst Swiderski returns in the Hammers colours for Mikkel Bech, who is competing in the World U-21 Final in Italy along with Belle Vue’s Max Fricke and Stefan Nielsen.

The meeting parade is scheduled to start at 7.45pm, with the first race at 8pm. In addition there will be three demonstration races involving youngsters on their 150cc machines from the Hagon Shocks Academy at 7.30pm before the main Elite League match.
