Hammers out for revenge

Lakeside Hammers will be looking for revenge this evening when they take on the Ipswich Witches in a Championship clash at The Arena Essex Raceway (first race 8pm).

The six man Hammers fell just short of snatching a point at Foxhall in last night’s encounter, with the Witches taking a 51-39 victory.

After missing the trip to Suffolk through injury, Nick Morris returns for the Hammers, whilst the Witches again bring in Scott Nicholls for the injured Danny King.

Hammers Co-Promoter Jon Cook commented “ The boys will be looking to continue their home run, and make amends for last night’s result, although we ran the Witches close throughout the meeting.

The weather is looking fantastic, it’s the school holidays, and we hope that fans come along and enjoy the action, for what I’m sure will be a terrific clash against our local rivals.”

The action starts with 6 heats of Junior racing at 7.20pm, followed by the meeting parade at 7.45pm, with the first race of the main event scheduled for 8pm.
