Hammers start team plans

The Vortex Hammers Co-Promoter Jon Cook and Team Manager Neil Vatcher returned from this weekend’s first part of the Speedway AGM reasonably satisfied with proceedings and will start full team planning this week.

Cook commented “It’s new territory to meet so early, with a cooling off period to November 3rd and I think it may prove to be a more successful process for the sport.

From our perspective, we’ve got enough of the details to shore up three or four riders fairly quickly, while we will need to wait on fast track reserves until the full list is available and the riders concerned have signed up to the scheme, with their Premier League race nights known.”

He continued “In all probability we will not name any riders ahead of our end of season Dinner Dance, outside of being delighted to confirm that Andreas Jonsson will be back at The Raceway in 2016 and that Adam Ellis will be going out on loan by mutual agreement to a track more suited to his development at this point”.

The Hammers Dinner Dance takes place on Saturday the November 14th of November, with tickets still available here.  The 2015 Hammer of the Year will be revealed at the event, with fans able to cast their vote by clicking here.
