Hammers team news

The Lakeside Hammers will go into action tonight (Monday) at Peterborough for their Elite league match with changes to their expected line up after Stuart Robson was forced to pull out of the meeting due to family commitments, Kevin Doolan’s Premier League team Ipswich having rearranged, at short notice, their visit to Glasgow for this evening and, finally, the withdrawal of captain Lee Richardson who pulled out during his meeting in Poland yesterday feeling unwell.

It means a return to Hammers colours for Chris Neath, following some spirited performances towards the end of last season, and a quick return for Finn Kauko Nieminen. Neath and Robson currently share one Doubling Up place in the Hammers team whilst Nieminen and Doolan share the other.

The Club have been successful, at short notice, in finding a guest to cover for Lee Richardson for the visit to the East of England Showground with Poole’s No.1 and Australian International, Chris Holder, accepting the booking. Holder was a member of the Aussies World Cup team that finished in second place behind Poland on Saturday.  He top scored for his Country in the Final scoring 15 points and is currently in third place in this season’s Grand Prix Series.

The Hammers full line-up for this evening’s match at Peterborough will now be: 1. Chris Holder (Guest for Lee Richardson), 2. Rider Replacement for Adam Shields, 3. Kauko Nieminen, 4. Peter Ljung, 5.Piotr Swiderski, 6. Chris Neath, 7.Robert Mear.
