Hammers travel to Monmore Green

Ahead of next Friday’s home meeting against the Belle Vue Aces, the Vortex Lakeside Hammers first travel to Monmore Green on Bank Holiday Monday, where they take on the Wolverhampton Wolves.

Skipper Andreas Jonsson returns to the Hammers side after his knee injury, whilst as confirmed by Jon Cook at the Hammers Fans Forum, the Essex team bring in Rye House rider Nicolaj Busk Jakobsen and Peterborough’s Ulrich Ostergaard for Kim Nilsson, who is riding in a SGP Qualifying meeting and Richard Lawson, who is riding for his parent club Glasgow. At reserve, Steve Boxall aims to return following is recent shoulder and rib injuries.

Wolves bring in Lasse Bjerre,  as a guest replacement for the injured Tobiasz Musielak and they are hopeful of a return for Swedish star Freddie Lindgren.
