Highlighting the Hammers Community Programme

Since it’s launch in 2010, the Lakeside Hammers Community Programme has helped to expand the profile of both the club and the sport across numerous local schools, clubs and community organisations.

Backed again by Community Partners Ruggles and Jeffery, the 2012 season saw continued success for the Programme, with an increased number of new fans visiting the Raceway for the first time. Community Liaison Manager Mark Sexton commented:

“One of the most satisfying features of the Community Programme is giving new supporters, both young and old, the chance get close up to the stars of the show.

During the 2012 season, and despite its obvious challenges, we have helped organise visits for companies, young people, volunteer organisations, schools and colleges, sports clubs and many others.  Speedway offers fans unparalleled access and every season our riders go out of their way to make sure our guests have a great time.”

Whilst  the 2012 season may have finished on the track, the Hammers Community Programme continues throughout the winter, with various Hammers channels available to help fans to spread their message.  For futher information on how the Hammers can support your group, club, charity, school or cause, please contact Mark via email marksexton@lakesidehammers.com or call him on 07951 698363
