Lewis aims to bowl them over

With the Vortex Lakeside Hammers not racing this coming Friday, the club are delighted to reveal that British star Lewis Bridger will be making a special guest appearance when local County cricket team, the Essex Eagles take on the Hampshire Royals in the Friends Life T20 competition.

The match at the Essex County Ground in Chelmsford, is a complete sell out and will provide a wonderful opportunity for the club to promote British Speedway, the Vortex Hammers and Lewis himself.

The invitation for Lewis to attend this week’s match was made following last Friday’s meeting against the Wolverhampton Wolves, when the Hammers Community Programme hosted representatives of the Essex Eagles at the Arena Essex Raceway.

The relationship between the Hammers and Essex County Cricket club has been developing for the past few years with both clubs working hard to support each other’s marketing and promotional efforts.

Mark Sexton, Hammers Community Manager commented “The Vortex Hammers are very grateful to the Eagles for allowing us to attend on Friday and we look forward to a wonderful night at Fortress Chelmsford”
