Official Statement

The Lakeside Hammers have confirmed that they have made an official protest about three of the silencers used by the Coventry Bees at the Raceway on Saturday.

The Complaint follows observations made by the SCB machine examiner and relayed to the Referee, Mr Allan, after Heat 7 of the meeting and passed on to the Bees Manager two heats later.

As the referee was unwilling and unable to stop the meeting to address the complaint at that time the protest was consequently dealt with at the end of the meeting at which time the Bees too decided to make an official protest about the silencers of three of the Hammers.

The Club will make no further statement on the matter at this time.
