Pirates out to plunder

The Vortex Lakeside Hammers take to the track this Monday, 1st September, with their Play Off hopes hanging on the results of other teams following a run of defeats.

Visitors to the Arena Essex Raceway on Monday are the  reigning Elite League Champions, the Poole Pirates, who will be all out for a win, as they look to replace King’s Lynn at the top of the table and gain choice of opposition in the play Off Semi Finals.

The Vortex Hammers Co Promoter Jon Cook commented on Sunday evening: “There’s no hiding our disappointment at where we now are in the League table and we need a run of results, including a win at King’s Lynn, to now get a top four place.

That’s incredibly unlikely but it’s impossible unless we take all three of the available League points on Monday evening. Ironically we are now back to a full team and I hope the riders are out to impress as we now start planning for a 2015 campaign.”
