Play Off dreams alive

The Vortex Hammers kept their Play off hopes alive on a night of high drama,  played out in front of the highest crowd of the season at the Arena Essex Raceway.

Whilst the crowd well in excess of 2000 did their bit to create an atmosphere worthy of the Play Off themselves, the home riders matched that passion with a fully committed performance highlighted by a string on passing moves, the best of which was an incredible double pass of two time World Champion Greg Hancock by Peter Karlsson & Piotr Swiderski to guarantee all three match points in the final heat.

After seeing the Essex Based team take a maximum 3 points, Hammers Co-Promoter Jon Cook  commented “Wow! what a night of racing that was. The support the boys had was incredible and they came up with a performance to match it. Now we need to take that momentum into our remaining four away matches.”
