Robbo gets the nod

Lakeside Hammers will select Stuart Robson over Kauko Nieminen for the No.3 slot in their team for the Play Off first leg at the Arena-Essex Raceway on Monday against the Eastbourne Eagles.  Both riders share one position at the Club and it’s been a tough decision for Co Promoter Jon Cook and Team Manager Neil Vatcher. The pair have also moved the team line up around with the loss of Tomasz Jedrzejak meaning the return of the Rider Replacement facility, which will now be at No.5.

Jon Cook explained: “Neil (Vatcher) and I have had a bit to think about and we have come up with a plan to get the most out of the Rider Replacement facility on the night. It was a tough choice between Robbo (Stuart Robson) and Kakke (Kauko Nieminen) and in the end it was Robbo’s slightly better ability to come from the back that swung us his way. Kakke took the decision like a true pro and at this moment in time it’s likely he will be in the second leg as his gating skills will be an advantage at Eastbourne.”
