Swiderski cleared to face Aces

The Lakeside Hammers will race with their complete 2011 line-up for the first time this season at the Arena-Essex Raceway on Friday evening against the Belle Vue Aces after their Polish star Piotr Swiderski finally received clearance from the Polish authorities to race in the UK.

The Pole will replace Swedish rider Jonas Davidsson, who returns to his pre planned racing campaign of Swedish and Polish racing only.

The Hammers Co Promoter Jon Cook commented on this latest news by saying: “It’s very exciting to have Piotr here at last and I am sure that our fans will be looking forward to his no nonsense style of racing. We decided to get him back in as soon as possible and I am extremely grateful to Jonas (Davidsson) for not only his brief appearance last week but also his continued offer to fill in for us whenever he is needed on an emergency basis”.

Swiderski will also race for the Hammers at Swindon tonight (Thursday) to help him acclimatise to the new silencers.
