Top of table Aces hit town

There is more Friday night Sky Sports Elite League Speedway action for the Lakeside Hammers fans this week at the Arena-Essex Raceway as the table topping Belle Vue Aces hit town led by British No.1 Chris Harris.

The new look Aces will provide yet more tough opposition for the Lakeside Hammers at the Club’s Essex based Raceway as the home team seek to carry on their own strong start to the season that saw them gain a win over another of the League favourites, the Wolverhampton Wolves, in a thrilling encounter last Friday.

In addition to Harris, a Grand Prix rider, the famous Belle Vue club will field a side that will include several riders who have performed well at the Arena-Essex Raceway in the past. In Swedish rider Ricky Kling they have a former Hammers rider and with Australian Rory Schlein, who openly admits that the Hammers track is one of his favourites, along with Danes Patrick Hougaard and Charlie Gjedde they have a  strong top five.

Their two reserves, however, have very limited experience around the Hammers Raceway although they performed well around other tracks in this Country.

Following his crash last Friday in the Wolverhampton match the Hammers Captain Lee Richardson has confirmed he will be back to lead the team into action but the Club will wait until Friday morning before confirming their full line up.

Friday’s action at the Arena-Essex Raceway will get underway at the usual first race start time of 8pm with the parade of riders scheduled to take place at 7.45pm.
