Vortex Hammers head to Brandon

Fresh from their Saturday night victory over the Coventry Bees, the Vortex Lakeside Hammers travel to Brandon Stadium tonight (Bank Holiday Monday), looking for points to extend their lead at the top of the Elite League.

With young Fast track reserve Ben Morley in action for his National League team, The Kent Kings, The Hammers have drafted in Berwick Bandits reserve Liam Carr as a guest, whilst Adam Ellis returns to the side after finishing in 8th place in the World Under-21 Final qualifier in Germany.  With the new averages now out, Danish sensation Mikkel Bech also moves in a heat leader role for the Hammers for first time this season.

Hammers Co Promoter Jon Cook commented “Although we took all three points against the Bees on Saturday, it got a little close towards the end, but we maintained our current unbeaten home record, and the boys are all determined to put on good display at Brandon”

The Hammers are then in action in Wiltshire on Thursday when they travel to Swindon, before returning back to the Raceway for the traditional Friday night Race night slot when they take on the Wolverhampton Wolves, who include current World Champion Tai Woffinden in their side.
