Vortex Hammers Skipper goes International

Fresh from a couple of enthralling battles on track last night during the Vortex Hammers victory over the Poole Pirates, Skipper Davey Watt will tonight join forces with fellow Aussie and current World Champion Chris Holder when they represent Australia in the International Best Pairs event.

The event, which takes place in Torun’s Marian Rose Motoarena in Poland, also includes host nation Poland,  represented by Tomasz Gollob and Jaroslaw Hampel, Denmark with Michael Jepsen Jensen and either Nicki Pedersen or Hans Anderson (subject to the former World Champions fitness), Sweden, who track former Hammer Andreas Jonsson and Antonio Lindback,  Russia, with World championship leader Emil Sayfutdinov and Grigory Laguta, the U.S.A who will be represented by former World Champion Greg Hancock and Peterborough Panthers rider  Ryan Fisher and finally the Czech Republic – with Ales Dryml as well as Matej Zagar as a guest.

The meeting, which starts at 6pm UK time and will be broadcast on British Eurosport , consists of 21 qualifying heats, with the leading team progressing straight to the final where they will be joined by the winners of a semi-final.
