Vortex Hammers target full seven for run in

The Vortex Hammers are in extended talks to bring in a replacement for the injured Sebastian Ulamek in time for the crucial run in of fixtures, which will determine whether they make the Play Offs or not.

The team meets their rivals for a top four spot twice each in their last four matches, with the last home meeting of the season against Poole on 23rd August, the return in Dorset on Monday 2nd September and two visits to King’s Lynn on Wednesday 28th August and Wednesday 4th September.

Jon Cook commented: “We have had very positive talks with our number one target yesterday and all being well he will be in the line up in time for our next home meeting, although he already has commitments that preclude him from racing in our away meetings that week. If at all possible we wish to avoid using Rider Replacement in these crucial fixtures and the rider concerned will add strength to our Play Off push”.

The latest news on Seb Ulamek is that he is a bit sore but got out of hospital on Saturday afternoon. He has broken his collarbone, broken three ribs and is black and blue. He returning to Poland this evening and is due to start treatment first thing tomorrow.
