Hammers v Cradley – Meeting Preview

Nick Laurence_Lakeside Hammers SpeedwayLakeside are gearing up for another tough test on home shale as they host Cradley at the Arena-Essex Raceway on Sunday (3pm).

The Vortex Hammers battled to a hard-fought win at Stoke on Saturday night.

And they will now aim to continue their perfect home record against the historic Heathens.

Experienced performer Paul Hurry is hopeful they can pick up where they left off – but he knows they must work hard to support their talented opposition.

“We should be feeling confident after the win at Stoke, so we’ll be looking for another home win,” said Hurry.

“It will be a tough test, but if the young lads are happy then they should ride well and get results at home.”

Lakeside will be at full strength, with Alex Spooner again stepping in as a guest to accommodate the inclusion of Hurry.

Meanwhile, Cradley include big names Danny Ayres and Tom Perry in their star-studded side.
