Hammers v Panthers Preview

Lakeside welcome Peterborough to the Arena-Essex Raceway on Friday in a top-of-the-table clash (First race 8pm).

A win for the Hammers would see them leapfrog their opponents at the top of the Championship.

But team boss Will Pottinger knows it could be the most challenging home fixture of the campaign for his side.

“Peterborough have got a very good team this season and have got several riders who’ve done well at the Raceway in the past,” he said.

“Scott Nicholls showed last week whilst guesting for Ipswich that he can win races at our place and Connor Mountain is a good choice of guest at reserve.

“We’ll need to be at our best if we’re going to achieve another home victory and send Peterborough home with no points.”

Mountain guests for Emil Grondal who has a Danish commitment while Paul Starke guests for injured Panthers skipper Ulrich Ostergaard.

Lakeside Hammers:

Richard Lawson, Zach Wajtknecht, Adam Ellis, Kyle Newman, Nick Morris, Ben Morley, Alfie Bowtell.
