11am update – All systems go for Hammers Play Off date

11am Raceday update:

The Hammers v The Pirates is ON tonight. Hammers Co-Promoter Jon Cook has issued the following update:

“We are assured by all the weather services that we have dry conditions from 2pm and therefore with the contingency measures we have made to cover parts of the track and remove water as it falls, we will be able to prepare a track to racing standards in the five plus hours we are forecast”

7am Raceday update:

The Lakeside Hammers are ready for action tonight despite Sunday rain continuing through into Monday morning. With a dry, sunny and windy forecast for the rest of the day the Arena Essex Raceway circuit has been prepared accordingly.

The Hammers Co Promoter Jon Cook commented: “Our trackman, Gerald Richter, was relieved we came through yesterday’s World Banger Final, which was held at the Raceway, unscathed and he has been able to fully prepare the track to see off the worse of the rain. We have great drying weather on its way, the giant television screen is in place, riders are flying in and we are ready for a great night’s entertainment.”

Fans are reminded that reduced admission applies to those paying on the night or online at £15 for adults, £12 for all concessions and £1 for kids. In addition Hammers Season Ticket holders are not being charged for this meeting as their tickets will be valid.
