Hammers boss: There’s more to come

Vortex Hammers Promoter Jon Cook insists the team are yet to find their best form as they moved past the first third of their season, with a straight forward victory over Wolverhampton on Friday evening.

Looking back after the 53-40 result, Cook commented:

“Victory was never really in doubt from heat four onwards and only the tactical rule (one we have yet to be in position to use ourselves) raised any doubts mid match about the Bonus point.  However, you look back at some of the points we lost during the meeting and PK being underpar and think what could have been.

Aside from King’s Lynn who are clearly the cream of the crop this year, the Elite league is wide open with four or five other strong teams and once we can find consistency from all the boys,  we will be in with a really good shout for Play-off qualification”

The Hammers next travel to the South coast on Wednesday the 14th, to take on the Poole Pirates before returning back to The Raceway for the mouthwatering clash against the King’s Lynn Stars, on Monday the 19th May.
