Hammers Wimborne woe

The Lakeside Vortex Hammers suffered a heavy away defeat this evening going down 60-30 at the home of the reigning Elite League Champions, The Poole Pirates.

Edward Kennett and Richard Lawson were joint top scorers for the Hammers with 7 and 7 paid 8 points respectively. In a meeting which saw two former Pirates in as guests for the injured Kim Nilsson and Mikkel Bech who was riding in Denmark, the Hammers only managed one heat advantage and only four race wins, including one each for Kennett and Lawson and two from reserve Adam Ellis.

The Essex team will now re-group ahead of this Fridays home fixture against the Belle Vue Aces.
