Kids for a quid scheme made permanent

The Vortex Lakeside Hammers have announced that they are extending their holiday time “kids for a quid” scheme to cover all meetings, starting with this Fridays Play-off show down against The Wolverhampton Wolves.

It follows the clubs third highest Friday crowd in seven seasons of a fortnight ago, when the Poole Pirates were the visitors and the scheme operated as a one off reduction.

Vortex Hammers Co-Promoter Jon Cook commented  “our crowd against Poole came out of the blue after a very poor run of attendances during the very drab spring.  What was evident for all to see was the up surge in families with young kids enjoying a night of racing at The Raceway.  By extending the scheme we hope that with the weather now warming, we can encourage more families to enjoy an evening with us.”

The club have also confirmed that after considering offers from three clubs,  young Swede and Hammers asset Kim Nilsson had decided to spend the rest of the season on loan at Eastbourne.
