Belle Vue update

The Vortex Hammers will travel to Belle Vue for the live Sky meeting on Monday without British riders Richard Lawson and Lewis Bridger both of whom have been refused permission to miss the rearranged World Championship round at Berwick despite the fact they are only meeting reserves.

Rory Schlein and Stuart Robson will deputise and the team riding order will be decided once Team Manager Neil Vatcher returns from his trip to Germany with the GB U-21 team.

The Vortex Hammers Promoter Jon Cook commented: “Rich and LBR (Richard Lawson and Lewis Bridger) are very unhappy about the intransigence of the FIM and I thank them for their wish to be with us. It made for an unexpected business Saturday evening and my thanks go to both Rory and Robbo (Rory Schlein and Stuart Robson) for stepping in at very short notice. Hopefully we can take something from the meeting to strengthen our Play Off aims.”
